The internationalization process of higher education must include the topic of social responsibility, creating alternatives and solutions for the theme.
This panel of four universities from Brazil, Canada and Mexico will present their practices, contributing to deepen the reflection on the subject.
The Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) will discuss how it uses communication to fulfill the social responsibilities that are coming with an accelerated internationalization process.
The University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) will briefly talk about the internationalization of knowledge mobilization, and its operationalization via other university units involved with research and community outreach. UQAM will also present a few examples of effective knowledge mobilization projects with Brazil.
The internationalization process at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) has always been strongly associated with social inclusion actions. We will present a few examples in the field of academic mobility and language teaching.
The University Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM) will share the experiences, result and challenges of its process of internationalization regarding the social responsibility aspects.
