Successful partnerships between Brazilian and US institutions require mutual participation, strategy and institutional interest. The session will discuss key competencies that are critical for all partners, including faculty engagement, international office infrastructure, and commitment. Thematic perspectives will “zoom in” and “zoom out”, to include viewpoints from the strategic level to logistical realities. Presenters will represent the Brazilian academic standpoint, the US higher education outlook, and a US research university view. The session encourages discussion from the audience.
