Global Learning 101

This workshop is intended to engage participants in an exploration of the concept of global learning in the curriculum.  The workshop will define global learning, discuss the imperative for global education in the curriculum and then situate the practice of global learning within the context of Brazilian higher education.  There will be small group exercises that will help participants develop global learning outcomes relative to the disciplines they represent and explore approaches to global learning that would be appropriate to the institutional contexts from which they come.  Participants should leave with a clear understanding of how they can launch a global learning initiative in their own departments.
