Enablers and BLockers at IoC : focus on the teaching and learning processes
Very few Univali students have the opportunity to study abroad despite the increasing number of mobility programs they are offered every year. For that reason, since 2011 Univali has been carrying out some actions that make up a plan of internacionalization at home (IaH). This plan is grounded on the premise that every class syllabus should prepare students to develop knowledge, abilities and attitudes which would enable them to live and work sucessful and harmoniously in the 21st century society.The objectives of this work are threefold: firstly, it aims at briefly reviewing main theoretical and methodological approaches which support the preparation of the workshops on internationalization themselves (Mestenhauser, 1998: Deadorff and Jones, 2012: Knight(2004); Leask,2009;Clifford and Montgomery, 2014); Secondly, it is planned to provide the audience with the voices of the people who supported, organized and attended the seminars in this 4-year period. Thirdly, it aims at discussing enablers and blockers throughout the process.
