Since March 2014: Director of the International Office of the University of Porto and member of the Executive Committee of the Santander Group of European Higher Education Institutions.

Since Jul 2008: Project Manager of  9 Erasmus Mundus Action 2 projects (4 for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific and 5 for Latin America), Local Project Manager of 37 Erasmus Mundus Action 2 partnerships (11 for Southeast Asia, 10 for Latin America, 4 for North Africa, 3 for Central Asia, 3 for Eastern Europe, 2 for India, 1 for South Africa, 1 for Balkans, 1 for the Middle East, 1 for the ACP region) and Technical partner of 6 Intra-ACP Mobility Schemes (2 in Africa, 3 in the Caribbean and 1 in the Pacific).

Since 2000: International Officer at the International Office of the University of Porto. Liaison Officer of the Santander Group of EU HEIs and long experience in international cooperation with higher education institutions in Europe and in the USA. Responsible for the support to the establishment of institutional agreements under the Socrates/Erasmus Programme and also for bilateral agreements towards the cooperation with partner institutions (general and specific agreements, double and multiple degrees, co-tutelle, Title of European PhD). Responsible for the cooperation with the United States and also for the Fulbright Regional Information Centre located at the University of Porto.
