International Projects and their Sustainability

International educational cooperation is analyzed through the perspective of its sustainability. Many international mobility consortia funded by national or international agencies have performed very well but ceased to exist shortly after their funding ended. The presenters will introduce reflections on the causes of those failures and the possible strategies to avoid them. They will underline the European and the Latin American perspectives. A discussion with the audience will be promoted. As a concrete example we will present the case of SUSTAIN-T (an ERASMUS MUNDUS Act.2 project still active), its success stories and its difficulties and how we plan to make some of its mobility between Latin America and Europe sustainable after the end of the European Commission financing.
